At Darrow Sports and Wellness Institute, we understand that chronic pain management can be quite expensive. Only you can decide what is fair when it comes to out-of-pocket costs for your health care. While most insurance policies are not covering the costs for Prolotherapy, PRP and Stem Cell Therapy treatments, we are seeing more and more patients turning to injection therapy treatment as a nonsurgical, natural alternative for chronic pain management.
Patients occasionally tell us that they would rather have their insurance pay for surgery rather than pay for Prolotherapy or PRP or Stem Cells. The truth is that in most cases a “free surgery” is much more expensive than our treatment. Expenses from surgery can be monetary or non-monetary and include but are not limited to time off work, losing one’s job, side effects such as infection, joint destruction and arthritis over time, permanent disability, physical therapy, and in rare cases, death. As far as financially speaking goes: High deductables, hi copays, non-generic prescriptions follwoing surgery, etc.
We believe the benefits of Prolotherapy, PRP and Stem Cell Therapy treatments justify the out-of-pocket expense and offer a better alternative, in the long run, to surgery. Our goal is to provide you with the finest level of care possible and we are happy to help you get the most reimbursement you can from your insurance company. However, the most accurate way to determine costs is to schedule the initial consultation with Dr. Darrow.
As a new patient with Dr. Darrow, all consultations will be billed under Darrow Sports and Wellness Institute (DSWI). Your benefits must be verified prior to your consultation in order to confirm that we are “in-network” with your plan.
DWSI is contracted and considered “in-network” with:
• Anthem Blue Cross
• Blue Shield
• United Healthcare
For “out-of-network” patients, we will be happy to send a superbill to your insurance company for you; any reimbursement that is allowed will be mailed directly to the primary subscriber on the insurance.
****We also accept Care Credit as an option for payment. This is like having a credit card that we may pay the interest for you. Please speak to a member of the staff for details****
